Eight categories of injection molds

(1) Single-type surface injection mold

When the mold is opened, the moving mold and the mold are separated, so as to take out the plastic parts, called single type surface mold, also known as double plate mold. It is the simplest and the most basic form of injection mold, according to the need can be designed into a single cavity injection mold, can also be designed into a multi-type cavity injection mold, is the most widely used injection mold.

(2) Double-type surface injection mold

Double type surface injection mold has two classification surface, compared with the single classification surface injection mold, double classification surface injection mold in the type cavity part increased a local can move the middle plate (also called active pouring plate, with gate, flow channel and other parts and components), so also called three plate type (dynamic plate, middle plate, template) injection mold, this commonly used for point gate feeding single cavity or multiple cavity injection mold, mold, the middle plate on the mold guide and template distance separation, convenient to remove the pouring system between the two templates. The structure of the injection mold is complex, the manufacturing cost is high, and the processing of parts is difficult. It is generally not used for the molding of large or super large plastic products.

(3) Injection mold with lateral type and core extraction mechanism

When the plastic parts have side holes or side concave, can be used to move the core or slider molding. After injection molding, the moving mold first moves down a part of the distance, and then the inclined section of the bending pin fixed on the fixed template forces the slider to move outward. At the same time, the push rod of the release mechanism pushes the push plate to take off the self-shaped core of the plastic piece.

(4) The injection mold with movable forming parts

Due to some special structure of plastic parts, the injection mold should be set up movable molding parts, such as movable convex mold, movable concave mold, movable insert, movable thread core or ring, etc., in the mold, and then separated from the plastic parts.

(5) Automatic unloading thread injection mold

For the plastic parts with thread, when the automatic release is required, the thread core or ring can be set on the mold, using the rotating mechanism of the mold action or injection molding machine, or set a special transmission device to drive the thread core or thread ring to rotate, so as to remove the plastic parts.

(6) No flow channel injection mold

No-flow channel injection mold refers to the method of adiabatic heating of the flow channel to keep the plastic molten between the first cavity of the injection molding machine nozzle, so that there is no pouring system condensate when the plastic parts are taken out of the open mold. The former is called the adiabatic flow channel injection mold, and the latter is called the hot flow channel injection mold.

(7) Right-angle injection mold

Right Angle injection mold is only suitable for Angle injection molding machine. Different from other injection mold, the feeding direction of this kind of mold is perpendicular to the direction of opening and closing mold. His mainstream road is opened on both sides of the moving and fixed mold type surface, and its cross-sectional area is usually unchanged, which is different from the mold used by other injection molding machines. The end of the mainstream road, in order to prevent the wear and deformation of the injection molding machine nozzle and the inlet end of the mainstream road, the replaceable flow channel block can be set up.

(8) Injection mold of the release mechanism on the mold

In most injection molding mold, the release device is installed on the side of the moving mold, which is conducive to the work of the release device in the opening mold system of the injection molding machine. In actual production, because some plastic parts are limited by the shape, it is better to leave the plastic parts on the mold side, which makes the plastic parts out of the mold, so the mold removal mechanism must be set on the mold side.
